Mary Mijal Houston, Texas Lewis and Clark Highway (Highway 14) on the Washington side of river is a great way to see Columbia River Gorge - a wonderful alternative to the Interstate 84 freeway. Verl Clark Atlanta, GA A drive up the Columbia River Gorge is a perfect place whether it is rainy or sunny. There are so many places to stop and enjoy the scenery! If you like to hike there are tons of places to do that and picnic too. Make sure to bring a camera. Linda and Bill Hoffman Bedford, TX Mt. St. Helens is something everyone should see. Its just so beautiful and breath taking when you get close to it. The drive up is amazing. Incredible history!! You have to tour the Ape Caves.
